Solid & Hollow Bricks

Solid and hollow bricks, also known as cement blocks, come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Made from a  mixture of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water, it is hardened until it becomes like stone. Generally, there are two kinds of concrete block, hollow and solid. Hollow blocks are usually used to build large structures like boundary fences. The reduced volume of concrete used to make the results in significant savings in cost for the materials for the whole wall. Solid blocks are used for paving and similar projects where holes would be dangerous or inconvenient.
